Session Overview
This information session is designed for managers and on-call supervisors to develop their skills in providing one-on-one crisis/incident debriefing to staff. The session will equip program managers with the tools to create a safe space for staff to share their experiences following an incident and to identify if additional support may be needed.

• The importance of debriefing after an incident or crisis.
• Limitations for managers when debriefing their staff.
• Validating and normalizing staff reactions to incidents.
• Basic steps and questions for effective incident debriefing.
• Common reactions to trauma and stress, and coping strategies.
• Reporting requirements and practices.
