The Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS) invites you to a webinar on the Protection for Persons in Care (PPC) Act. This session will equip care providers with essential knowledge to recognize, prevent, and respond to potential abuse or neglect in care settings.
This webinar will be facilitated by Tegan Robinson, Education & Outreach Specialist with Protection for Persons in Care, Health Protection Branch, Government of Alberta.
Participants will:
Gain a clear understanding of the PPC Act and care providers’ responsibilities
Learn the definitions and indicators of abuse and neglect
Understand when and how to report concerns under the PPC Act
Explore what happens after a report is made
Engage in interactive discussions and real-life scenarios
Learn strategies to foster a culture of safety, respect, and accountability
Tegan is an Education & Outreach Specialist with the Government of Alberta's Health Protection Branch. With extensive experience in delivering training on the PPC Act, she brings valuable insight into fostering safe and respectful environments for persons in care.
