Hosted virtually via Zoom on December 3 and 4, 2024 from 9:45am to 12:45pm (MDT)
This is the learner registration form for the virtual Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) No Holds training offered in partnership with Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and the Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS) for ACDS Members only. Training is scheduled for December 3 and 4, 2024 from 9:45am to 12:45pm (MDT) via Zoom. Learner materials will be sent to the organization after confirmation of registration. Please note that learners must attend and complete the two sessions and pass the tests to receive their Blue Card Certification. The Blue Card includes a unique participant code for training validation.
This training is offered virtually and DOES NOT feature physical restraints. It is ideal for staff who do not require knowledge of restrictive interventions in their de-escalation techniques. This training still meets standards for CET purposes.
Instructor-led training: This training is also conducted via Zoom and are facilitated by an instructor. The training department creates a Zoom class link, which is shared with both the instructor and learners prior to the training date.
Training covers: Prevention and deceleration strategies, decision-making related to risk associated with crisis behaviour, and post-vention approaches.
