ACDS is currently offering training through two delivery methods
Virtual training: Virtual training sessions are hosted via Zoom communications over two to three days. All previous in-person training is currently being held virtually.
Online training: Ongoing courses that can be started and completed online at a learners’ own pace.
ACDS' training and development programs are designed to increase the knowledge and skills of community disability service staff to support them in their roles as service providers. Programs also support leadership, management, and trainers in the field.
Training and Development programs are designed with four principles in mind
1. Belief in the dignity of all people
2. Responsible caring
3. Integrity in relationships
4. A strong sense of social responsibility
Courses and programs are developed with a focus on practicality, flexibility, affordability, portability though standardization of content.
